I start at 11:30AM which kind of puts a damper on any Friday night activities.

I start at 10:00 AM, and our class goes until 12:30. Not too many friday night activities for me I am afraid.
I know what you mean. I train Sundays at noon, so I really don't do much Saturday night. No point in working out if you're tired, hung over, etc.

I train Saturday's 11:00 to 1:00, but I never have any problems. I've been out of college for about six year now, so I don't party too hard very often. Friday night is usually a dinner and movie with the girlfriend.

Saturday Mornings 09:30 or 10:00 karate or aikido, but I'm married with kids, don't have a life outside work or the dojo...guess that's why I train on Friday nights too

I actually wish I had class on Saturday. My school has many classes on Saturday but they're in almost every art except mine. Oh well, I guess I'll have to stick with Tues., Wed., and Fri. night.
Screw not drinking. I got completely trashed on the fridays, then go sweat it out and throw up during my saturday workout. There is no better hangover cure.

Did that once when I was doing jujutsu, the sensei almost killed me.

Nothing like a great workout where you are sweating profusely before you even warm-up :-)

I trained on Saturday morning from 11-2 for a while. The problem wasn't Friday night activities, it was Saturday night. I'd walk around like an old man for the rest of the day and drop to bed around 10.
Yeah that's true, I've had that happen. Train like crazy on Sat. and then don't feel like doing anything later. The one good thing about it is that it always kept me out of trouble.
Training with a hangover is gross, plus dangerous if you ask me.

I used to train Saturday mornings. My dojo had "open mat" time. It was a great time to try out what we were learning. I think I learned more there than in class.

I usually cant wake up for Saturday morning class and get into it. I spend all day thinking about class at night and get myself ready for it... cant do that when I roll out of bed and just go to class. I was pulling all nighters Friday nights for a while, and then training and that helped... but killed me Saturday as I had to sleep.

There is nothing that ruins a training session more quickly than the smell of fresh vomit on the mat.
...especially if it is your own.
