I dont think so man, that situation is fukked. Its been like that for a long time. The government was a puppet govet anyway. Now you have a bunch of crazies fighting to get them out. Their RIGHT in wanting then out but the situation is just so unstable that the United States will never allow that government to lose power. We have too many vital interests in Haiti.

I read something that 50 marines were deployed to Haiti. Does anyone know why they were deployed? Was it a combat mission?

As a rule, whenever you have more than 5,000 skinny black guys who dont speak English running around with machine guns, the situation should be considered "unstable" in my opinion. This goes for anywhere on earth.
