Currently, the weight division in which this bout will take place is yet to be determined, however the bout will likely headline the card or be a co-main event. Pitting the former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion against a dude that has a 0-0 record in MMA seems on paper to be a really, really bad idea. Well, a really bad idea unless you're talking about James Lights-Out Toney. The MMA world will finally see how to properly execute a shoulder roll...if Randy Couture doesn't take him down before.

Couture will immediately shoot and TKO Toney from mount or half-guard. Toney will claim to have been unhurt, the ref is a ***** for stopping it and so on, then take his one-fight pay and refuse to darken the door of the octagon again.

I am a fan of James Toney and this whole thing makes me slightly depressed.

I am not even considering that Couture would do anything other than quick GNP. He doesn't seem to have the ego that would prompt somebody to "stand and bang" when it's a stupid strategy. If he contracts Koschek syndrome what you say could easily come to pass, but I don't think that'll happen.
