Dream 13

Yokohama Arena
Yokohama, Japan

Siala "Mighty Mo" Siligia vs Josh Barnett
Joachim Hansen vs. Bibiano Fernandes
Ikuhisa Minowa vs. Jimmy Ambriz
Karl James Noons vs. Andre Amade
Ryo Chonan vs. Andrews Nakahara
Yoshiro Maeda vs. Cole Escovedo
Katsunori Kikuno vs. Kuniyoshi Hironaka

Ex-UFC Heavy Weight champion Tim Sylvia was also set to participate on this card, while he declined Josh Barnett he agreed to another opponent. Unfortunately we won't see this match up; according to Tim Sylvia's Twitter profile, the Dream organizers "tried to switch opponents on me 2 weeks before I fight just bullshit." Murilo "Ninja" Rua, brother of UFC Light Heavy Weight title challenger Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, is also rumoured to be on this card. This event will air live in North America on HDNet.

**** Timmy for not taking the Barnett fight - his stock is low at the moment after losing two fights in a row in less than a minute. Sure, Barnett would most likely murderrape him, but putting on a good fight against Barnett would do wonders to prove his hataz wrong.

**** Barnett too for fighting anybody but Fedor.

In fact, **** this card - I see Hansen, Barnett and Minowa winning with ease, and the rest of the fights just don't appeal to me all that much.

KJ VS Dida will be fucking awesome. Two of the best strikers in MMA.

Except for the main event, I'd agree the card is competitive.

**** Barnett too for fighting anybody but Fedor.

Thanks for your enlightened point of view.
No hating on Fedor for having to work with his M-1 management and promotion company to co-promote events? Can you fault the biggest MMA promotion brand, the UFC, for refusing to co-promote events with someone unheard of for most North American fans?

Josh Barnett was scheduled Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction: Trilogy in I think July 2009, but failed a drug test. Incidentally Afflication decided to cancel the whole event and shut down their mixed martial arts branch since they would be losing so much money from that failed event. Interpret that how you will, but I don't see Josh Barnett failing a drug test ONE WEEK before the event to duck Fedor. I'm sure he would have taken his lumps, since he'd probably be getting six figures for the fight.

I am well aware of the events regarding Barnett dropping out of that fight against Fedor, thank you very much. And I still say **** BARNETT for being careless about his cycling and robbing us of the fight between two of the greatest heavyweight competitors in the history of the sport. I would have sacrificed Brock Lesnar to the pagan gods of diverticullitis to have witnessed that fight, but nooooo, somebody forgot to tell Josh he wasn't in Japan.

Josh Barnett: Easily douchebag of 2009.

Is everyone okay with roids? Did cracky or brock suddenly make it okay?

Barnett: "He can knee me back in the balls, it's ok"

Katsunori Kikuno vs. Kuniyoshi Hironaka - Excellent fight, crisp technique, wish it went longer.
