I am barely finding anything. In fact, the only thing I've found is Aikido, which is a 30 minute drive to a part of town I'm not that familiar with. To get to the point, I was wondering if anyone knew of any legit JMA schools near or around Overland Park Kansas. If I get flamed for this, that's fine, as long as anyone has some constructive input. Thank you for any help you guys are willing to give.

Why specifically JMA?

I don't live in your area, but a quick internet search reveals this:

It's a 20 minute drive from the center of Overland Park. Are they legit? Don't know, but Judo typically has a high quality bar, so you have good odds.

Most everything else in your area is TKD or....well, TKD. There are a few MMA gyms and a Ground Control (BJJ) school in that area, but it sounds to me like you're set on a JMA school. Check out the Judo school, see what you think.

Well, I suppose it doesn't Have to be JMA. However, like Shaolin said, most of whats out here is TKD and a few mma gyms, which are either out of my budget, too far away, or end up being in a bad part of town. That said, there is one TKD school I plan on asking around about.

Try the judo place. Also you could see if there's any boxing nearby.
