yeah your fingers are soft and weak from never having lifted anything.. go lift weights. you are weak.
EDIT: and having just tried it, if you don't rest your arm on the table while you're doing it, and you actually press on the coin it does shoot out.

If you're worried about balance Tucker, there's exercises designed to improve balance specifically. I'm not going to say 'Bosu' but there's always the ol' balance board. There are plenty of weighted exercises that demand incredible balance and stability prowess. Unilateral leg work is a great example.
It should be said that you CAN become brutally strong doing calisthenics (iron butterfly, one armed chinup, muscle ups aren't easy either) but it's a process much harder to control (since to advance you need to alter the lever, at least most of the time, rather than simply increase the weight) and probably isn't the best way to go about it if you don't have a talented coach and don't have extensive experience in physicalism.

Thanks for the suggestion socratic. Part of my warm up is qigong which has been solid for improving balance so far. I've started doing the 5x5 program Lights suggested so I no longer need to worry if my original routine was any good or not for strength.
Mickey, I've got a bag of deez for u.

I've done Qigong and I didn't find it improved my balance at all.

It depends on what sets you do. There are sets that help with balance. They are similar to one legged squats or other Western exercises.

Let me add they are no better or worse than other balance training.
