Hi Guys and Gals.
New to the forum, Green Belt in Krav Maga and have been training Muay Thai for a few months. In the past one of my biggest issues has been keeping my chin down while sparring.

I think my issue is staying in the pocket and getting in range of my sparring partners. As I reach for punches, my chin comes up a little too much.

Any suggestions or techniques to help fix this would be greatly appreciated, I'm having a hard time figuring out my best stance, whether I should stand taller or lean forward a bit.

5'10", 193lbs.

Thanks and happy new year!

Buy a squash ball.

Edit: And because it's Christmas and I don't want to be a cryptic fucker, you should shadowbox while holding it underneath your chin.

Spar more, get nailed on the chin more, and you will learn to keep it tucked.
Happy New Year.

Keep your back straight, and your shoulders shrugged too. with your shoulders up it's easier to keep your jaw protected, and your chin kind of tucks automatically..

and shadow boxing/hitting bags. Thats what i did when i had the same problem.

Just to let you know Lu Tze wasnt being a jackass and telling you to delete system32, ball under chin and shadow boxing is quite a common way to remedy this.

Along with proper stance, but i am assuming you have that covered.

Thanks guys! I shadowboxed with wrapped up wraps under my chin, stood taller and it helps. Little by little it will get better.
Happy New Year!!!
