I think it would be great if there were more women in combat sports, including the big MMA promotions, but I gather the talent pool is just far too small to sustain anything of the sort. As long as there are dozens or (for all I know) hundreds of male fighters for every female fighter, it’s obvious that the elite skill level among the men will be much higher.

and i still maintain womens MMA and womens boxing will NEVER really take off (to the level of say womens tennis) simply because people are programmed to protect women. Im as womens rights etc as the next unshaven feminist, but i still dont like watching girls get punched in the face.

I don't mind it at all. I think some women would be able to outfight most guys. For example, I think Gina Caranno could beat any guy in her weight class, and even a weight class or two higher. If they can watch us get our faces turned into hamburger and enjoy it, why can't men have the same thing?

Funny I only see one MMA loss in her career and that was to Cyborg. And she only has one loss in her MT career. I think that makes her definitely one of the best in her weight class.

Or shorter, weaker and slower men for that matter. If women can hang, they can hang. If they can't, they can't. Some of us got fast-twitch genes, some of us didn't. Some of us got Y chromosomes, some of us didn't. Tough cookies.

this would basically kill womens sport. dont be daft. at the top level women cant compete with men simply because of the gap in level of athletic ability. men are designed for athletic pursuits to a much larger degree than women are, so while this would work in relatively unathletic sports (like lawn bowls i guess) in others it wouldnt. because women would never win, never get enough money to make it a realistic goal, and.. well its obvious from there.

I wouldn't object, discourage or in any way naysay the idea, but I doubt I'd watch it. It just feels wrong.
