Your outright dismissal of the Bullshido community in its entirety, based on some riff-raff in our "Your Martial Arts Suck" forum, or a hot babes thread, or profanity, is a blatant Straw man fallacy.

Like any other community has a spectrum of the value of contributions of each member. Some do not contribute positively, and that is to be expected of any open community. Some contribute negatively due to deep-seeded feelings against our mission statement.

We have had a user who was a suspect "BS Martial artists" that spent large amounts of time posting intentionally inflammatory, offensive and rude diatribes against other members of our site.

Amazingly, we actually got the perpetrator of this offensive activity on our site to step in a ring and fight another user of our forum. Our fighter, despite having a vastly shorter claimed experience, was able to dominate and pound the 'BS martial artist' into submission within about 60 seconds.

This guy still has an account here and regularly signs on to spew hatred in our direction. We don't ban him, his actions here are what stand to be held against him, who are we to squelch his speech because we consider his behavior offensive? We simply wouldn't be able to operate if we had such policies in place.

So don't pass summary judgment over the entire community, and everything that is contained within this domain, just because you can find some examples of immature behavior somewhere on bullshido.net/forums. That's plain ignorance, or if you will: douchebaggery.

I'm saying that for any review to be useful, it must be read. If it's not read it's of no use, and not everyone is going to search first. I've dealt with enough real criminal fraud victims who have said the same thing time and time again "If I'd only searched". Problem is, most don't. It's good the information is there. It's better if they are prevented from victimizing again. THAT is the piece that Bullshido misses.

Filtering profanity is counterproductive, and condescending. Harboring or enabling frauds would be more of a concern.

Why would "we" Jay and Silent Bob a school? We don't have touretts (sp?) or anything. Besides, no one swears in martial arts schools...we all know that.

I don't swear during the kids classes...I can say that much. If it's all adults..my experience is that adults swear....even in *gasp* a gym. In fact, ESPECIALLY in a gym, because like a steam valve, of sorts...swear words allow us to vent frustration in a relatively harmless manner.

2)MartialTalk requires the posters private info. Does the staff look into the members, to verify claims? If so, do the admins reject people, and does this strike you as funny or ironic?(considering the site rules for posters).

You put way too much thought into that graphic description. I hate to tell you this, but, I'm happily married and so both not your type and not available. But thanks for the laugh. In terms of proving that your place provides a safe harbor to a fraud, one only needs to show a single example of such.

If you PM me a list of your member names, or show me how I can see a list of your members names on your site, I would be happy to look at the names on that list and cross reference them with BS investigations.
