Your Grand Darth certificate was forged! MY master is t3h tru3 master of the dark side.
Of course it's forged. That's part of the belt requirements. Forging the Cert comes right after Signing the Check. Silly. :D

Considering that you couldn't even do something as simple list your style in the field provided it's simple to assume that no, we don't know. Either that, or you're a larper.

Btw, if it is the case that there has been a call for Matt Morton to be banned over there while not being banned here, it's because your site has the policy of no investigations, no questioning of someone's credentials. Therefore it's become the case the MT is a safe haven for charlatans to run to.

So far the outcry I've seen is that M.M. is been given sanctuary, not that he hasn't been banned yet.
I removed my info here a while back as it was no longer current.

Since it's deemed important to know:
Modern Arnis, Balintawak, Kombatan, (Various other FMA's), EPAK, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, BJJ, Sombo, kendo and iaido. Plus a bit of several other arts over time. I claim no rank in any system at this time.

Where does MT policy state "no investigations, no questioning of someone's credentials."

Clarification - MartialTalk.Com (http://www.martialtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79116)

The thread was even closed off before any real questioning developed.

Getting back to my original point in this thread. You really should decide who you are, rather than writing cheapshots at other sites into your policies to define yourself as "not like those meanies on bullshido."

Unless your purpose is to be "the home for whiny passive agressives in the martial arts", in which case, rock on.

I saw some announcements on webforums, however as of right now see NOTHING on the official forum http://judoforum.com/index.php?showforum=25 or official website http://www.usja-judo.org/. Or, did I miss it? Again, what is stopping Morton, or anyone who y'all convict from teaching? Using that food analogy, you folks found the joint to misrepresent, but you haven't closed them down to stop them from doing it again. All you've got is a bunch of signs outside and down the block saying "bad". They are still open. Success = shut down.

Incorrect. Success = Truth out there and available

Our goal is not to shut down businesses. Our goal is to try to get truth out there for those who are smart enough to do some research before they invest $$$ in a martial arts club, business, etc, that is fraudulent or problematic. If the result of an investigation is a business shutting down, fine, if not, the info is still out there for those who look.

There have been investigations that have led to closures of clubs or businesses, but that is not the goal. Others have made public the fraudulent nature of certain persons in the arts and put them into hiding. Yes, other have continued to teach under the same or other names.

Again, it is the consumer, educated (or not) that will decide the consequences, decide to take frauds to court, etc. So, sure, if we bust a fraud, he may still be teaching out there, but for the potential students who take the time to look before they buy, come accross one of our investigations, and decide not to join, that is success.

But, to answer your questions, here is one who did go out of business:
http://www.bullshido.org/Khristian_Geraci

I am sure Pat Miletich would argue that this investigation, was worth while. To date, Kujawski has not successfully frauded anyone else, and is in hiding:
http://www.bullshido.org/David_Kujawski_Investigation

This gentleman is still in the business of trying to scam folks, however, in recent posts on other forums I have seen reference to his being exposed as a fraud:
http://www.bullshido.org/Jimmy_Lyons

I am not going to list everything, but these are some good examples, as will the Morton article once it is written up. You should take a step back, read some of these, and realize that while you may not like us, we do good work, we are not a bunch of hacks, and actually do provide a valuable service.

Thank you Steve. As I've said repeatedly, I'd prefer to work with you guys, but some folks make that damned hard to do so.

Pearls before swine, Steve. When asking who we shut down this guy never actually cared if we did, it was just a desperate appeal to a nonexistent authority and another "yeah... but who are you" argument.

Who we are is defined by our actions, our accomplishments, and our policies. All of which are well-noted and easily referenced.

We're happy to work with anyone who's willing to help. See our Internet-spanning investigation into the possible murder of the anonymous individual in Bobby Joe Blythe's dojo. The point is to run the frauds out of the Martial Arts so that nobody gets taken advantage of, especially those who have a genuine need for genuine self defense skills.

If there's any benefit of the doubt to be found here, it's in the same grid coordinate with "Poorly-Worded-Policyville". But your arguments in this thread have been all over the map, from "Assholetown", to "Meaniesburg", with a stop over in "Whiner's Peak".

Hence the response to them.

Arguably, it was our looking into the Blythe story that kepr it alive, got it increased media attention, and redirected efforts of the police.

I think a lot of people confuse YMAS w/ MABS or other forums. Blatant idiocy is only tolerated in certain parts of BS, and off topic posting in serious discussions is quickly and efficiently removed to a more appropriate locale.

The people who are exposed here, should they happen to have an account, either leave of their own free will, because they can't hang in a serious discussion, or they lurk...and pretend they're not there any more (which I imagine you planned to do re: your earlier post...not that you're a fraud, per se...but a tool..no doubt).

Being allowed to ask three times, isn't nearly the same as genuine inquiry. You think a fraud's gonna crack on the third question? It's beyond stupid to think there's a reasonable opportunity to question blatant bullshit on PartialTalk.

Hell, can you even SAY bullshit on PT.com?

you filter on the word bullshit?

that's really funneh!

Do alarms go off in the MT Control tower so you can quickly dive in and moderate the 'out of hand' thread?

Yes. At the first sign of a profanity, a flashing light goes off here in my Fortress of Banality, and I pause only long enough to change into my LamerMan (tm) underroos before leaping to the control room in a panic to manually edit out the offending comment before any heads explode or pants are soiled in fear.

for the kids? That's a sad story.

MARTIAL arts aren't graphic arts with flare. It's serious ****, and conning people who hope to stay safe is fucked up, beyond description. Enabling the con artists isn't quite as bad...but it's plenty lame, and doesn't lend to the credibility of the site, as a whole.

I'm in music, and a lack of honest critique leads to more crap music, than untalented musicians/songwriters.

The difference is if my students learn crap guitar, then they might lose work, or not get teh girlz. If homeslice's students get crap martial arts, they might DIE. So **** him, and **** you for caring more about avoiding embarrassing him, than protecting them.
