I had my 4th MMA fight last night (Saturday, 9/12/09). I lost the fight due to a TKO/Ref Stoppage due to a cut.

When they break up the fight in the middle of the round the ref looks at me, looks at the cut and tells me he will let me fight until the end of the round but after that he is stopping the fight. Pretty cool on the refs part because he gave me the extra minute to try and finish.

This is my first loss and it really sucks losing due to a cut because I think I was controlling the match but thats how life is. We followed USKBA rules so head punching on the ground and no head kicks at all.

I should have a closer and better quality video tomorrow and look out for my 3rd fight (which was Vale Tudo rules) to be posted up sometime tomorrow.

Good vid (the second one), but my ears hurt from that girl shrieking all the time!
You were completely dominant in the clinch, had mount at 1:48 but you could've started a bit of pounding from there and earned even more kudos from the crowd... and maybe won.
The other guy was good at wriggling out of all your stuff (maybe since you didn't 'soften him up' striking on the ground in all your dominant positions), and his punching was much quicker and on-target.
Without the cut you would have won ... probably.

Hard luck dude, the guy had a decent jab and you were close with the triangle.

This was amateur, I wanted to punch him on the ground and think I could have ended it when I mounted him but the rules call for no head punches on the ground.

Either way it was a good experience and the kid only took the fight with 20 hours notice because the other opponent backed out.

EDIT : yea, he did have a stiff jab and definitely hit me hard, I got a couple stitches and black eye.

Oh deary me, what a disadvantage for you!

Maybe next fight you can equalise things by having "no head punches while standing"?

Yeah Joe needs a tag now, he's been jealous of me for quite some time now I htink. I'm always at home talking about how I have a tag and he doesen't. Our father won't even speak to him b/c he doesen't have one. It's pretty bad.

PS. Just an observation.. you can tell you're a bjj guy you looked most out of your element standing and most comfortable on the ground do you do alot of boxing/MT?
