MMA needs good rep like this from non competitors. I was listening to talk radio yesterday, a station that is sponsored by the UFC, thrashing the sport. Fucking idiots. good to see a ringing endorsement on mainstream tv.

Ventura is a good spokesman...other than the skullet, of course.

There was also the air of a senior figure in the pro-wrestling fraternity giving the Boy Brock a thorough telling off for letting the side down.

If you remember Lesnar's first fight, you'll have noticed the look of shame, not to mention disappointment, on his face after he lost. There were quite a few famous wrestlers in the audience that night (Steve Austin et al) and he knew he'd failed in front of people he admired and respected. What Ventura said (as well as presumably what's been said on the phone to Lesnar by various people) must have an impact.
