No, I'm really serious. I prefer when both fighters suck.
I took "well-rounded" in equal meaning in regards to sucking at everything, and when they are good at everything. lolz
It would indeed be incredibly boring if every mma fighter were incredibly well rounded.
I was talking about Fedor's personality (or lack thereof) smartass, not his fighting style.
You would have gotten it if you had read what preceded that statement.

I like the fighters who act like professionals--Randy, GSP, Machida.
People like Brock, and to a much greater extent, Matt Hughes are awful and shouldn't be allowed to represent the sport. In all seriousness it makes me think less of the gyms they train at. The fact that Militech lets Hughes, a thoroughly immoral man (Summary of Matt Hughes' autobiography - No BS Martial Arts (http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=66067)), train with him is disgusting. He should be a pariah from gyms and society. We need standards of conduct or society suffers. I see Lesnar's actions (as well as Renzo's throat stomp) as a lesser form of the same thing. They should be heftily fined for this kind of jackassery.

Spot on. I thought the same thing after his fight. But, I seriously question that Irish knuckleheads ability to get Lesnar to be more tackful.

I did get it and your comment was stupid. Think about it, you're saying that you wouldn't watch based on someone's ring persona regardless of how good a fighter they are.

I love the whole Ms. Manners turn this thread has taken.
Bullshido: it's about politeness, not the ability to stomp your opponent lifeless.

In civilised society nothing is more important than being a decent human-being. I can't stand people who want to compete in combat sports because it enables them to get satisfaction from injuring another person without any morale or legal implications. As far as i'm concerned MMA is a sport and nothing more, so if someone can't compete in it without turning into a raging neanderthal then I won't respect them as a member of society.

Your preference is fine, but I disagree with the bolded. A person's ability to perform at his or her sport is all that should determine being allowed to represent the sport. As long as they fight within the rules, I couldn't care less about their sportsmanship.

I think you're right that Lesnar's behavior won't result in fewer PPV customers, but it may alter the mix of people that choose to pay. And I'm sure Dana White doesn't give a flying rat's ass about that.
Anyway, in pro wrestling during the mid-to-late eighties, the major figures in North America were two world champions, Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. You watched Hogan because he was a superhero and you wanted to see him whup the villain; you watched Flair because he was a backstabber and a braggart and a prick, and you were hoping to see him get his ass kicked from Atlanta to Charlotte and back. I think that in Brock Lesnar, Dana White has found his Ric Flair.
After a while, Hogan became dull and irritating, and despite his charisma and success there were many people rooting against him. Flair, even at his sleaziest, always had fans. It remains to be seen if, in this regard, MMA shares this dynamic with pro wrestling.
I hate to have to go Lloyd Bentsen on your ass but, "BROCK LESNAR IS NO RICK FLAIR!"

I see things such as not being a rapist a signs that you are at least a decent human being. If you believe that talking trash (even when you back it up) makes you sub human, I think you may be a bit thin skinned.

No, talking trash is fine as long as it's all in good humour. I don't like people who literaly have to hate the person they are fighting.

Thoughts on Nick Diaz?
There have been more than a few grudge matches in MMA
I don't think Brock Hates his opponents I think he's highly competitive and wants to destroy them.

I can't stand Nick Diaz. He's exactly the kind of person I was talking about.
Then you must also hate:
Tito Ortiz
Ken Shamrock
Matt Serra
Matt Hughes
Frank Mir
etc.
etc.
etc.
It's happened before. It will happen again. It's ingrained with the sport.

Yeah, that is pretty much the list of Top Five Asshole Famous Fighters. May they all grow bitch-tits and lose their money in three-card monte games.
