I trained there on a very infrequent drop-in basis when I was living in the South Bay. I also know guys who drive from Sacramento to San Jose to train there on a regular basis.

I don't know what you're trying to get out of training, but I'd be hard pressed to recommend another place. Any well-respected MMA gym is going to cost you $120-$200 a month, so I would argue that AKA is well worth it if you're looking for high-level training. If you're just starting out or just looking to have some fun, there are cheaper options available.
