All I know about the neck crank is that those fucking Sambo guys will murder your with it. It's way harder to resist than a choke and the pain in my neck and upper back tonight can attest to that.

On a completely unrelated note, I have determined that Taijitsu fighters are unable to avoid using their "too deadly for the street" crap when I'm not even hitting them. They only sort of get it when you hold the armbar for a while after they start screaming.

Yeah, no kidding. The few times I've rolled with Sambo guys it has seemed that they will go for the neck a bit even if they are being pinned. Its still disconcerting for me.
