I was wondering what's the difference between these shorts (or any fight shorts for that matter) and regular shorts you can pick up at target for 12 bucks? I'm considering buying some. I'm a casual grappler/boxer with a small group of friends. Can anyone help? thanks.

Well, these have a few differences. One, they are very high quality. So if someone uses them to grip on, they will not rip. And this happens all the time. There is a split seam on the outside which allows for more freedom of movement. The inner seam is stretchy so when you are in the guard the shorts allow you to open your legs up without causing the shorts to ride up and bunch at the top of your thigh. There front is Velcro and has a draw string so you have a perfect fit. There is a pocket on the outside so you have ready access to your mouthpiece.

I didn't think this was a big deal until I got mine. If you roll regularly, then they are well worth your money.

On another note. I love the Rupture Rashguard so much that I just ordered another one. I wear my Bullshido one every time I roll, as long as I can wash it in time. Ask anyone that rolls with me.

So I love is so much that I just got some money for my birthday, and that is the only thing I want. Another Rupture Rashguard to roll in. So I just ordered to Red long sleeve. Now I will have a different collor so people will stop saying I wear the same shirt every time.

Can't wait till it gets here. But that also shows the quality. I have rolled with my rashguard atleast twice a week since I got it and it doesn't show any signs of wear and tear. The logo is still in great shape too.

And my shorts are awesome too. I roll in them now, more than my other shorts, which were primarily sprawl g-flex. These rupture shorts are a lot better quality. I won't buy any gear from anyone else.
