Go to a bookstore and buy Carl Sagan's book- Demon Haunted World, and write again in here only after you have read it.

I have read a number Dr Sagan's books I'm a big fan although I trhink to start from a point of skepticism has value, I think in some cases it stops the researcher from developing ideas....not always but in some instances

i am my training a mechanical and electronic engineer and hold a Masters of Engineering in Mechatronics

i am currently engaged in medical bio-engineering research

my particular fields are cardiac mechanics and bioreactors

it would be helpful if you read my posts rather than reacting like a child

i have never stated that astrology is connected with astronomy

and have explained why i like astology

and i state again i agree with the problems surrounding homeopathy and the fact that mainstreem science cannot accept its existence

i have no idea why it works for some people but it does

could be placebo but this wouldnt explain why it has been reported to work on animals

frankly i dont know

my point (again) is that many many people simply go into knee jerk reactions

when things like astrology and homeopathy are mentioned

there appears to be no reasoning just mud slinging

although to be fair some people here have offered up good solid evidence for there beliefs

others appear to be sad hangers on......

Your problem is that in the face of overwhelming evidence against these things, you can not let go of your beliefs in homeopathy, astrology, and whatever other pseudo-scientific belief system you hold on to. There is no support in the scientific community for homeopathy and astrology. None whatsoever. Not even with regard to animals. Opening your mind to science makes the world a more interesting place, though there aren't magical faeires, demons, and wizards. But science can make a pill for that, if you so desire.
