Ok, actually he's wearing the white belt while they're training BJJ, which makes no sense to me.....I'm pretty sure he's got his brown from Shinya Aoki's gym.

I think Lyoto having a dedicated Judo coach would be a big deal- since he already has phenomenal base from his sumo, and excellent footsweeps, he can likely make it part of his game very very quickly.

I am super excited for Ishii. As long as he takes the proper amount of time to train before his debut he will be a major threat to anyone.

Perhaps he is wearing a white belt out of respect. He's in a new dojo and doesn't want to look arrogant?

Though, later on in the episode he's wearing a black belt. Lyoto probably told him he was out of his mind to be wearing a white belt anywhere and had him put his black belt on.

I love how Lyoto is just smiling every time he ties up with Ishii because Ishii can throw him around like a rag doll.

lol. I didn't actually mean to come across as an ass. I asked if Moose was trolling not because he's such a well known judoka, but rather because it's in the link form the OP.

For those who don't click through to the link, he's the Olympic Heavyeweight gold medalist. He are want to do MMA now. He's of course a Judo black, and I think the Nippon Top Team gave him a BJJ brown, but i can't find a linky.
