Going to try and organise a throwdown in perth (australia) since most members in this area have a hard time getting to the TDs over east. I've got a venue in mind and any bullies are welcome to come if they can make it. I would like to know when would be a good time for most of the perth members and try to make it around then and so i have a better idea of the number of people wanting to attend.
Things i would recommend brining are the usal sparring gear like gloves, mouth guard, shind pads, cup, water etc. I'll be brining some sparring knives and padded sticks to if anyone would be keen on doing somje stick and knife sparring.
Syberia and I will try to make it....yeah right, who are we kidding? :D
Good luck, there are some members in WA who would definitely benefit from catching up. pyro is game for anything :)

yea was planning it to be around the middle of the year between july and september. I already know you were keen on it speedy.
Oh and i forgot to mention some kind of protective eyewear or head gear would be recommended just to be safe about accidents with the weapons sparring but i might be able to provided some of that.

speedycerciche where do you train Jits?
If you guys are keen I can try to bring along a ninja or two, these guys are pretty competent with weapons if you are intersested pyro. Their wrestling however leaves something to be desired.

we train jits at fight club in osbourne park and yea i've got no problem with you bringing them along though form my expereience with some ninjers that have come to arnis i noticed that they're very rigid with the way they move which does not help with their skill in arnis which is about fluid motions. My boss said that he might be brining one of his firends who's a stick fighitng champion so that might be quite interesting.

The guys from Fight club roll pretty well, did you go to the last no-gi comp at cragie? I would have seen you there.

Yeah I did, white belt 67 - 73 kg. Me and my two teammates places 1st 2nd and 3rd.
We got our blues after that, so all in all a pretty good day.

I'm in Perth training at Spear Dojo in Wangara.
It's more a muay thai/zendokai place than a grappling place, but I am doing the fledgling MMA classes.
Its fairly good, but I do want to do something with a better lineage/instruction, when my contract expires in August.
I might be interested in a throwdown, especially if its north of the river.
Also pyro if I could get more info about this Fight Club place in Osbourne Park that would be good.

Well im not pyro but
http://www.mach1fitness.com.au/
That is the website they are called Mach1 at the moment the sign out the front still says fight club though. As for lineage/instruction if you go to the news section it has a thing on the BJJ teachers and click Instructors for the rest they haven't updated the instructors page yet so I thought id point that out.
"speedycerciche where do you train Jits?"
Me and Pyro train "Jits" at Mach1 aka fight club where do you train?. I didn't go to the last no-gi comp but I went to the last gi comp.

Yea i'd recommend Fight club to anyone that's north of the river for a good gym to train at.
Also as for a venue for the throdown i'm looking at Subiaco community centre which seems promising and is a pretty central location for everyone. As for the date it's yet to be confirmed but as i stated before around mid year so looking at around july or august.
