Bullshido.com is featured in an article in the February 2004 issue of Inside Kung Fu. The article, written by Geoff Girvitz, details martial arts discussion forums and we're at the top of the list (though I'd imagine this is partly because we're first, alphabetically).

The write-up, though brief, does a great job communicating the essence of what we're accomplishing here. Here's a small sampling from the article:

Administrator Neal "Phrost" Fletcher describes the site as 'the Better Business Bureau meets Fight Club - 75 percent business, 25 percent fun, and 100 percent free of B.S. ...

...Bullshido's no-nonsense mandate extends to rooting out schools and teachers who take advantage of students' naivte and enthusiasm to sell them substandard martial arts training.

This should be a great help in getting the word out about our mission. Many thanks to Geoff Girvitz.

Excellent!

Bullshido is finally getting some (more?) coverage in popular MA magazines, this can only bring more publicity (good or bad) and therefore members to this forum/site IMO.

Will we have Kung Fu idiots spamming our precious site now? :-(

Outstanding. We should all send letters (email) to the editor thanking them for the positive exposure.

Maybe they'll do an extended article if the response is great enough.

Congratulations Phrost, hopefully this will lead to more exposure in similar martial arts mags and who knows, perhaps greater corporate sponsorship (assuming you are receiving some right now).

Isn't that the PERFECT mag to feature Bullshido.com?

Hehehe

I'm being serious though.

I never read those magazines, cause I assumed they'd be mcdojo crap. Plus you really can't, imo, learn techniques and stuff from reading. So i spend my money on porn instead.

What would be nice is some coverage from Black Belt Magazine.

Nice to know that Bullshido has become so popular. And everyone thought its only about expsoing fraud in the martial arts. Now its about a whole lot of other things. Bullshido has gone a long way. First in its humble beginnings as "McDojo" and then "Bullshido.com" and now with this new webdesign "Bullshido.net".

Right on Phrost! He's doing a terrific job on this site.

I wish. So far DRD is our biggest sponsor. Well, him and my kid's college fund.

Just kidding, she's not going to college. (joking there too... must be in a good mood.)

Anyway, I'd imagine that we'd welcome coporate sponsorship with the caveat that they didn't try to exert any control overthe members' freedom of expression.

Actually Bullshido and CFW enterprises have more in common than you think.

CFW has an excellent publication called Grappling for the more combat serious guys.

Inside Kung-fu has been covering K-1 for years now.

Not like Blackbelt Mag that sucks the dick of all its corporate sponsors.

You're right. Heck, they've got an Inside KungFu ad on the canvas of the ring in the K1 PS2 game.
