AFFLICTION "DAY OF RECKONING" DISCLOSED FIGHTER PAYROLL: $3,308,000

is it me, or does it look like MMA Weekly mixed up Fedor's and Arlovski's pay outs?

in any case, looks pretty good for big name fighters looking to make some cash. what's UFC payroll looking like these days? according to Dana, Affliction takes a huge loss every event. you think perhaps they're paying the fighters too much?

No, Fedor gets percent of the PPV....

I'd definitely want a minimum of 1.5 mil to step in the ring with Fedor. Hell, half of that would be paying for all the surgery to put me back together again afterwards....

And then the rest could be spent on a PR firm to try and
resell your broken will as a sport fighter to other venues.

I mean lets face it. If I were a heavyweight, I'd just give up now. I'd never be that good an MMA fighter. Thank god I'm in a weight category with the likes of lesser figures such as... George Rush St. Pierre, Karo Parisyan, Matt Hughes, Matt Serra, BJ Penn, John Fitch, Thiago Alves, Diego Sanchez, and Jake Shields...

Yeah, love the fact that pretty much the top 5 fighters in every weightclass right now are just ridiculously incredible.
Shows how far the sport has come in the last 16 years. Imagine even guys for the lightweight division entering the first 5 UFCs, they would tear through everyone.

Glad to see nice high salaries for the stars. Shame the undercard fighters are still making 7k...even worse that these payroll figures are probably going to put Affliction under soon.

What's really sad is that the UFC is probably the one organization that could probably afford to pay these kinds of figures.

What's sadder is that people always discuss the UFC pay figures even though we know for absolute certainty that they are not the total pay fighters receive.

I don't really follow salaries, but 1.5 mil is easily the largest sum I have seen for an MMA fighter by far...did AA just get the biggest payday in the sport for trying to chinbutt an overhand right?
