I partially tore my left pec doing bench. I waited a couple months before doing any working out at all and now it's been about 8 months and it still isn't right. On bench and some other exercises, my pec still feels very precarious like it could rip again (with a bit of soreness) so I end up just switching to other exercises that don't seem to hit the pec the same.
Any advice?

Go to a physical therapist. If after 8 months it hasn't healed you may have to get some work done. Do you stretch out your chest at all?

I do the old outstretched arm, hand grasping a pole and then turning my body outwards.

Oh man, this sucks to hear from me!
I have a complete tear, while I was getting ready for a tournament in November. They took an MRI, and it is a complete tear; I decided not to get surgery, haven't done anything since then (November 23rd is when it happened).
If any others have similar experiences, can you please post them - I would greatly appreciated it.
Vertical media, did you get an MRI and that's how you find out you partially tore it?
I had to have surgery on mine and it will never be the same.
