I just found out that one of our members, No BS Martial Arts - View Profile: RoninPimp@@AMEPARAM@@View Profile: RoninPimp</title>@@AMEPARAM@@RoninPimp (http://www.bullshido.net/forums/member.php?u=5578) was awarded his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu by Lloyd Irvin. You can now all begin sucking up to him properly.

For those of you who aren't aware, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is one of only a few styles where being awarded a black belt still has significant meaning. Without going into a long lecture, the reasons for this are simple: quality control through competition.

Not sure what this means? Spend some time browsing our Martial Arts Standards forum (http://www.bullshido.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10).

Picture of Kyra Gracie is completely unrelated to this other than the fact that she's holding a black belt and is hot.

Now maybe he'll change his avatar from one with him not pointing at his eye with his middle finger.

Congrats MrPimp!

I started BJJ in June of 1997, so 2009 will be 12 years.
