What are we gonna do sparr or something thanks but I have like zero fighting spirit right now

Ah for the love of God man, he isn't challenging you to Mortal Kombat, nor you need to have "fighting spirit" to spar or simply meet and have a beer.

according to the analysis I suck and have no power or speed I have never really had my skill critiqued before so I thought I was pretty good but now I see differently so there is really no point thank you for the offer anyway.

That's a loser's point of view. This objective criticism you are encountering for the first time, not from one or two, but from many people with experience, that's called life. Life doesn't give you the empty validations you want, but the corrections you need... if you so desire to improve. It's called a wake up call, and life is full of wake up calls for everybody.

Then there are two type of people: those who takes those "wake up" moments and make the best of out them, and those who turn sully and dejected. Which one would you want to be?

You have to ask yourself, what did you originally wanted to hear when you posted your videos? Something to pelt your ego, or objective criticism from experienced people? The title of your thread ("Evaluate my kicks and knees") indicate the later, or so I hope.

If Omega or someone with his experience is hinting at an opportunity to meet, dude, why pass the opportunity. Don't you want to learn? To improve? Or how about just meet someone who tried to help you on this website in person and have a beer or something?

Don't let the mountain of objective (and justified) criticism over the internet turn into the EMO version of a greek tragedy dude affecting you in real life. Be smart, lighten out, and make the best out of it.

Huh? No, you asked for your kicks and knees to be evaluated I thought when I was in the area I could give you some tips. Sorry that you took it that way. I never thought you were arrogant, never offended by what you said. If that's the case I won't bother.

TxSanshou, just to stress the importance, Read El Macho's post very carefully and remember it.

Um, on that new video, don't jump around so much (its a little excessive) and make kicks sharper, they have a wide movement, aaannnddddd make the turn on those back-kicks a lot faster and more closed.

Nah its not that I just don't think I'm worth teaching

Didn't I tell you to read his post carefully?

Just to be clear, a professional fighter is offering to help you with your technique. Regardless of whether or not you're worth teaching, you would have to be an idiot (and a disrespectful one at that) to turn him down.

Stop. We had a friend do this **** and we lit his ass up. This is dumb. Stop whining, quit being an emo crybaby and man up.

Someone offered to give you help. As you have been told multiple times, in many a thread, he is retired pro fighter. He is willing to give you some pointers.

IMO you need to quit rushing your progress. It sounds like you want instant gratification. It isn't going to happen.

Yup, this is a fine example of one of the biggest psychological traps in ma's.

You start out sort off thinking: ' hey, throwing a punch and kicking some stuff, how hard can it be?'

Until you find out it's way more technical then you had anticipated.
Then you go from ' hero' to ' zero', only like 1 out of 10 people turn out to be a natural, but 8 out of 10 start training with the idea that they are a natural.

It's ok, dont get discouraged, toughen up mentally and meet up with Omega.
Getting skill is about stress and frustration tolerance, you have to beat yourself, and keep hanging in there even when you get the feeling you're not getting anywhere.
In time you will.

Don't give up.

Dude, everybody starts somewhere. Take Omega up on his offer if you still can

You are right. It's better to feel self-pity and go EMO because you didn't get the "yay! awesome dude!!!" you were expecting and disrespectfully decline a free offer from a pro fighter. That is much better than getting the chance of getting actual tips FOR FREE from someone who was gracious and courteous enough to offer some help and meet him in person.

Yep, you are absolutely right about that. Feel sorry for you for now, and then go back to your wave master. If this is how you are not just on this, but in general, you will go places dude.

You just disrespected not only everyone who tried to offer you advice, but everyone who currently trains you, or trains with you. You are wasting everyone's time, and wasting your own. Stop this, now. Pull your head out of your ass and listen. Keep disrespecting the Universe with your vanity and it will find a way to crush you. It takes much less work to be humble successful than it does to be prideful and fail.

I'm locking this because it is getting weird now and clearly not about Striking Technique anymore.
