I wanted to get 'the sabaki method' or whatever it's called simply because of discussions on angling off an opponent and setting them up.

Thing is, looks like the sabaki guys are out of stock for a while.

Anybody know any good books on striking that discusses primarily getting a superior position/angle?

Book with solo drills and bagwork drills?

There was an Ashihara dvd series that focused on using sabaki in kyokushin knockdown tournaments. If you really want to learn, I'd try to get to a boxing gym. A lot of the foot work I learned in boxing was angling off to setup punches.

Amazon.com: Sabaki Method: Karate in the Inner Circle: Kancho Ninomiya, Ed Zorensky: Books (http://www.amazon.com/Sabaki-Method-Karate-Inner-Circle/dp/1883319749)

They had 12 used copies when I checked moments ago.

Anyone know any other books on angling,

books on boxing/kick boxing/muay thai that have a heavy emphasis on hitting angles?

If you're hardcore about getting books, check amazon for "fighting karate" and "more fighting karate" by the man himself, Ashihara. The second one is about $200, but i still plan on getting it. "Fighting Karate", imo, is better than "Sabaki Method". Also, try "Complete Kickboxing", by Keith Livingston. It has several bits on angling.
