http://www.bullshido.net/images/transformers-karate.gifWhat do robots have to do with MMA, the Martial Arts, Physical Training, Fraud Busting, or Guns? Not a goddamn thing! But they're awesome, and we're awesome so since we celebrate awesome stuff around here, we're celebrating robots.

Where did Robot Wednesday come from you ask? Well back in 1914 when the Bullshido Forums were a cork board on the wall of the local Apothecary in Edward William Barton-Wright's hometown, his rival, one Dr. Flannigan Q. MacGillicuddy (PhD) suggested that steam-powered, autonomous robotic mechanisms would soon render the need for Martial Arts obsolete.

Much discussion went back and forth, and eventually the two attempted to "settle the score" via a gentleman's contest of pugilism. The fight never took place as MacGillicuddy showed up with one of his robot inventions which when lumbering towards the center of the ring for the formal instructions, fell on the referee and killed him.

So, every Wednesday we celebrate this tragic and awesome event* with pictures and stories of the exploits of awesome robots!
