The founder of Kudo, Azuma Takashi, and 2 current champs will be in the states giving seminars on the following dates and locations.

Daidojuku / Kudo: NY&NJ Seminars
Admission Fee $20 (Stony Brook), $30 (NYC or NJ), Day & Place:
(1) 11/20(Thu) Stony Brook University, 7:00-8:30pm, at Wrestling(Judo) Gym (B2,
Sports Comp.)
(2) 11/21(Fri) NJ 6:00-8:30pm, at Elite Kick Revolution,1612 Hgwy71,Wall,
NJ 07719
(3) 11/22(Sat) NY 4:00-6:30pm, Fighthouse, 122W, 27St,NY 10001
(Bet6th&7thAv.)

I'm going to do my best to make it to the one at Stony Brook. That is actually the club I ran during my time there (It was an Aikido and Judo club with a little bit of Goju-ryu Karate during my stay). It is now being run by our adviser who is a Japanese Dan grade in Goju-ryu Karate, Judo, and Kudo. I would actually advise people not to go to the one being held at Stony Brook because the facility is both tiny and disgusting (The only reason he's coming out there is because our adviser was a student of Azuma) but rather go to the other 2 locations.

Sorry, but I just got notice of it now.

Will this stop at the seminar, or, if there is enough interest, will Daido Juku players be establishing schools in NYC?

I'm not sure. I think the plan is probably just to spark interest. If there's enough interest among the Karate and Judo community, it shouldn't be too hard to simply have them recognized through Honbu.

This makes me cry. I lived in NYC my whole life until recently and Daido Juku is my dream martial art to take. Blast and confound you all.

I really hope it goes well and Kudo comes to the U.S. as it should.

Is advanced registration required, or is this at the door only?

F**k me sideways, I hope they start opening schools up in the US. That would be something out of a dream.

We seriously need this **** all over the United States ASAP.

Agreed, but maybe it would be better if they took their time. Quality over quantity. Although I would chop off one of my toes or fingers or maybe an ear or something if they would open a school near me for it.

I went to the first one they held last year, it was good seminar. Personally I think that Kancho Takashi is feeling out the US market and trying to gauge feasibility of opening a Dojo here and where.

Hopefully I can attend this one again.
