Im looking for a heavyweight Gi thats suitable for Kata and Kumite WKF rules . I was looking at these two brands .

Mudeokgwan uses midnight blue instead of black. It was all the Mudeokgwan offshoots that went to black, and that's why you see Gukgiwon black belts wearing black V-necks.

Yes you are right. I hated that pullover Dobok myself.

Agreed. I always thought I should be foofing my chest hair & wearing several gold chains.
How about you get a Dobok that fits? :dontknow:

I haven't tried either of the ones you mentioned,
but, have you looked into the Century Super-Middleweight?
I have a couple of them, they are quite reasonable, and wear very well.
Just my $0.02.

Back in the day I wore Ronins, but if I find myself wearing a gi (for karate) again, I am going to give this a try: http://www.piranhagear.com/p-766-heavy-weight-karate-gi-14-oz-45-sleeve.aspx
I only buy certain things from Piranha (places like combat sports have much nicer designs & selection overall), but pretty much anything they sell is a lot nicer quality than you pay for, so when they come up with a good design (their molded shin/insteps are fucking superb) they rock. I wear one of their jujitsu gis for judo and I'm very pleased with it.
