top useless martial arts:
1.Dim mak (yeah, i beat ur ass right now, but you gave me cancer in 30 years)
2.most TKD
3.wushu
4.Aikido
5.Capoiera
Dude. No. I guess you put wushu up there as well, but capoeira is much more of a game than a martial art.

People, you NEED to have Yellow Bamboo in this. If you count if as a martial art, it takes this hands down.

1. Dim Mak - purely because it doesn't work at all, not anything like it claims to
2. Tai Chi - You spend 2 years learning about something that doesn't exist and then you get to spar ?
3. A lot of Tae Kwon Do
4. McDojo Karate
5. White Crane
3 and 4 are basically ars where they can be excellent but often you get rubbish schools who teach rubish. WTF Taekwon do is useless by default.
I don't put up Wushu and Capoeira because if you actually apply both of them you can do some nifty stuff. Also at least with them you can have a bit of fun. Wudang, Calling Crane and one of the other ones are essentially combative arts, just they like jumping about a bit. Aikido... well I don't think it's useless, just horribly misunderstood.
That is just my opinion though

It was a Tai Chi school or something which challenged a BJJ school. The deal was yellow bamboo people got a minute to focus etc then the Bjj guy would do his thing. They got raped every time

with a name like yellow bamboo, I wouldn't be very intimidated, lol in any fighting situation tai chi is no match for any jujitsu, its more like a supplement to the martial art you take, for personal leisure, or if you're down with all that spiritual crap.
it doesn't really make sense to compare traditional martial arts to MMA or any other more "modern" form of fighting such as wrestling, modern BJJ, etc. The traditional martial arts were not put together so that some monk can "kick your ass", they were put together as a spiritual medium so people can become true masters and reach enlightenment. Stone Cold Steve Austin can go down to emmanuel lutheran and kick the pastor's ass, I guarantee it. Therefore, pro wrestling is a WAY better martial art than christianity.

I disagree with this statement.Neither one is any good. One is a bunch of nuts who believe a whole lot of nonsensical bullshit is real and the other is...well...pro wrestling.

Any art is decent if you learn a well rounded game. You need to learn how to stand and block well while returning fire plus you need to know how to handle yourself on the ground. Any art you choose be sure to ask the instructor if he knows groundwork and if there is good hard sparring. You need to get used to taking a hard punch or kick plus you need to feel how tiring grappling can be.
Just a quick noob question: since when is Tai Chi a martial art? It's not bad as a relaxation/meditation method, but Tai Chi just isn't martial.
So yeah. Combat Tai Chi.
My pics for most useless in order:
1) jukendo is the Japanese martial art of bayonet fighting. Uses a wooden rifle replica.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jukendo
It is useless as almost nobody in the civilian world carrys a rifle with them on a daily basis, and even fewer do so with a bayonet attached,
2) Naginata: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naginata
you can't really find an object in daily life which replicates it to any degree and if you did, you would probably be just as good knowing how to use the bo. The only advantage is naginata practice is full contact.
Kyudo: Highly formalized archery. Essentially archery as a form of mediation or tea ceremony.

Plus there's the fact that most rifles nowadays are a) at least semi-automatic, so that you don't have to spend five minutes reloading when someone's getting all up in ya grill, b) accurate enough at long range that you never even need to get close to anyone in a gunfight.
It's easy to use a bayonet anyway:
1. Stab
2. Fire (optional, very messy)
3. Remove.
4. Repeat 1-3 as many times as necessary.
Observing the movements of my pet cat in the living room, I created the art of cat claw kung kill. After an experience at the zoo, I added the movements of the orangatang to my system to make it even deadlier. I also watch Sienfeld every day. Did you know that the open hand can deliver an orangatang slap many times stronger than a champion boxers punch? For only 50 dollars I will share this amazing and deadly art with you. And for only $100 at the time you sign up, you will get three episodes of Sienfeld on one convenient VHS video cassete. Send all payments to my mom's house.

I'm sure it's been said a few dozen times by now, but I'll say it again. Akido. There are plenty of MA with useless techniques, but most of them provide a semi good workout if nothing else. Chi/no-touch BS obviously excluded.
