I don't think TKD is useless. You have to be very quick about it.. unfortunatly alot of TKDist are not fast. Especially with our high fat and protien diet,, we are slower.
No Martial art is useless. Every Martial art had a Purpose in the past. Most was because of war, protection etc..
Yet (big YET) to meet a TKD or Karate guy that was ANY sort of challenge... and i know they exist, seen some great Korean and Japanese fighters in those styles.
Not all kung-fu is useless - whenever i get the opportunity, i go to a class i was registered with years ago. They do all the traditional stuff, but full contact sparring with groundwork. The Sifu's have learnt other arts, and are still learning and spending more time being taught other arts.
But, imho JJ/BJJ MT/Kickboxing would probably stand up the best in a fight - being able to punch or kick your attacker(s), or handling yourself were the (almost inevitable) fight to goto ground.
Kyusho-Jutsu, or however they spell it... I haven't spent 10 years of my life at MA anyway, but that garbage is in its class of it own...
Note kyusho jutsu appears to have many supporters

Duhhhhh... I've noted that for 5 years, wondering what kind of mental midgets sign up for that ****.

Greetings to everybody! I'm new here at Bullshido.
I'm not sure which is the worst MA, but it's refreshing to see a site like this. I remember how I was insulted on BudoSeek for daring to criticize the effectiveness of KF, based both on personal experience and on factual combat records. Keep on guys! :)

I vote hapkido!
Take all the crappyness that is TKD, multiply it by the lack of practical application of aikido then fabricate a long history for it as only the Koreans know how.
The worst MA class I've ever actually seen was a 'semi contact' kickboxing club in my hometown run by a very, very fat instructor.
I went for a couple of lessons when I was 20, and managed to score more 'points' on him in sparring than he did on me, thus 'winning' my first sparring bout after about 3 years of no MA training. Scoring a point consisted of 'tagging' your opponent with a flicky jab, backfist or tip-tap roundhouse, which would immediately end the round.
I was a lot fitter when I was 20 mind you..

I dunno. I've seen plenty of BJJ types catch a nasty beating. Sure they can take someone down and submit them in about 2 seconds, but two seconds is all his buddies need to run over and kick mr BJJ's face inside out. Oh, and I'm not sure that your average MMA guy is really all that equipped for 'when things go down'. I mean outside of venice beach -and the ring-, where are you going to find two large, angry, juiced up men in a pair of speedos looking to kick the piss out of each other? It all boils down to the quality of training, not so much the art. Ring fighting isn't the same as street fighting. There are knives and bats and sticks involved, not to mention alchahol, coke, and PCP. Oh, and whomever spoke poorly of Aikido needs to find an accomplished Aikidoka and say that to his face.
two good points here
1. bjj'ers seem to think that their arm bar will scare off everyone else around so that they wont kick their face in while on the ground
2. 100 percent of the people talking **** here about other styles would get their a@@ses handed to them by the most peaceful akido master out there. ever wonder why there's no video on here to disprove that?hmm...

I have a question before what I post. Is Bullshido a place for MMA'ers to bash traditional martial arts? If so, that's not good.
I think Capoeria is not good.
Western Fencing once again not good.
Also Wushu shouldn't be on any list, cause it's not meant to be for combat it's meant for an entertaining performance, which looks good. It's also great excersise. (no I don't do Wushu by the way)
Kfighter is right, you know. About absolutely everything said in the previous post. Yo-Yo is also right, about the aikido at least. But by master you had better mean somebody that has put the better part of 20 years into conditioning theirself to defend with aikido; it isn't something easily accomplished. I know that my old master would whoop my ass in a very peaceful way if I looked at him in a threatening way, but only if I followed that look with an attack (we all know about aikido being purely defensive, unless we want to get into variations).
wushu kicks ass

You guys all suck ass. Wushu is the best martial arts out there. Ill **** kick anyone on this forum. Wrestling sucks, ju-jitsu sucks, and so does all your other ***** martial arts. If any of you wanna fight me just ask, pussys.

And you other jokers; Steel Yo Yo, KFighter and Qidori you guys deserve honorable mention.
Edit: Damn, KFighter I apologize, that was a good post. I am a dumbass myself now. Oh well at least SYY and Q can keep me company.
