This is a problem that I'm dealing with and any advice I get will be appricated.

The guy who is teaching at the school now is a friend first and mentor second. He and I both hold rank under the same instructor. He is a purple I'm a blue. He could possibly be leaving for a job overseas and has contacted a blackbelt from a completley different school to come down and start teaching. The only draw-back is the blackbelt can only come down on mondays so that leaves two days a week for, I don't know who is gonna teach.

The BB is a legit guy who got his rank under the same guy who gave BJ Penn his BB, so there is no question of the guys skill but there is just something about him that I feel isn't right.

I don't see how you reconcile understanding that this dude is a legit BJJ blackbelt with fearing that he's going to show you unworkable or IBJJF-prohibited techniques. Have you ever trained under a black belt before? It's an awesome opportunity.

Yes i have trained with a bb a few times. Theres one in Dallas who gave me my bluebelt. I think his name is Carlos. I can't remember his last name but it starts with a Mach and ends with an ado.

Okay, still not sure where your fear of the new instructor showing ineffective techniques comes from. Can you elaborate? I think many of us are boggled by your concerns.

Because i have seen him roll and have seen his students roll. Not real impressive.
