Heel hook, spin with the pressure into a knee bar, you should be able to place your foot on his ass crack at this time and then push away freeing your leg. This is also one of the releases of ceartain knee bars. In some cases, for a knee bar you can reach over and force the person into a crunch preventing them from arching, then you try to break their leverage freeing the securing legs. For the leg lock attack the knee and rotate into an ankle lock and then push through. Any others?
A no... Thanks chief... I am absorbing the info.....
Well, the ass crack/foot penetration must have come from pankration.
I think, and I am sure Omega would agree, the best thing is to apply to counter before the lock is set, with a skilled fighter, any lock that is set, you are fucked.
Thanks Ronin....so much for stalling.... work to react quickly... processing...

for knee bars, you must triangle your your legs before it gets extended, then sprawl and sit up

omega, how do you get out of a hiplock, my coach does them on me occaisionally, normally if i manage to defend a leg/ankle lock attack?

release grip roll after bridging backwards to get out of hip lock.
WTF will a hip lock do if you don't tap? Will it actually "break" your hip? And what the **** would breaking the hip imply, anyway? That's been confusing me for a while.
