Wastrel's right, making it free for everyone doesn't make much sense, even if some of our taxes go to the school.

Using that logic, I should be able to set up an office in a government building even though I don't offically work there or drive a police car around town to get from place to place. My taxes helped pay for those too.

Yeah I know. I was just playing with the concept that nothing is ever truely held in the public realm even thought it is given the title as such. I hear they are building a new Rec Hall since they are moving up to NCAA Div I for football. That should be good for some laughs seeing them try to hang.

About the free gyms though they are pretty commen in Europe but we also dont have their tax rates. It would be nice to see that one day in America.

One of my very close friends is a trainer at a university in the division that Davis recently vacated, and it his opinion that it was about time they left. They were just cherry-picking.

Yeah they were too good for their division(the causeway classic UCD vs Sac usually wasnt even a match) but I suppose they will be able to match up to this higher level. The Great West division doesnt seem all too exciting though alot of schools not known for football floating around in it.
