So, Shadowofravenwolf, we are waiting to here your real life experiences?
Hell, if you are close to SW MO...or anywhere in MO, I would fight you under any rules you want...biting, eye gougin', dim mak'in, cock knockin'...it doesn't matter to me.
And I do Judo and some BJJ.
Nope sorry. Don't live near there.

Sure I've bounced at a few bars, been in some fights. Once again, find me a link where I claim I am the master street fighter. I've TRAINED with BBJ guys, in my JJJ class. They'll be the FIRST to admit their style is manyly for sport.
Yeah, and Japanese Jiujitsu is mainly for getting your ass kicked. And those BJJ people you supposedly train with...You're lying.

The harshness aimed at Djimbe isn't a singular thing, it's the culmination of a wide array of things the man has said and done (Or not done) here as well as other places, most notably gameFAQs in my case. He's slighted quite a few people and for some this seems to be a pretty convincing video as far as the "He's just a guy that spouts theory with little or no applicable knowledge of the subject at hand, versus a true to life martial arts monster. (Walking the walk vs. Talking the talk)
Not to forget the infamous "Asia is not in my league" statement I will always cherish... If he can't grapple a guy half his size he has no prayer against Asia....

No actually I'm not.
I have no idea whether or not they go to a McDojo though.
Yes your right, something that has survived for hundreds of years, is totally useless.
I'm curious, since I don't know that answer, how long has BJJ been around?

I would like to ask please read the first three posts before you make any further statements on this thread and go off and try to argue. because it makes you look like a fucking retard.
Shadowofravenwolf - where did these Jits guys train at? It would be hard for me to believe that they came from a mcdojo.
I have trained with many JJJ stylist and all their wristlocks and other silly **** went out the window once we started training in a live atmosphere. The majority of them had no clue on the ground.
Ok, lets not change this thread ok?
This is NOT about JJJ or even BJJ, its about djimbe and tigerfly's comments and how the video proves/disproves the events as they saw them.
There is NOTHING in BJJ that is NOT IN JJJ and vice-versa, to state otherwise is wrong.

The JJJ class is at my University, the BJJ school in somewhere in the City. I never found out it's location, because I have no interest in BJJ.

When we grappled, you were allowed locks, chocks, and strikes. The BJJ guys said the weren't allowed to strike at their school.

Shall I keep going? Most people appear to be exactly what he said on here.
If it's not BJJ on here, then it's crap. If you can't see that.
*shrugs*
I love that my name was included in there... damn good company... However I don't do BJJ, nor do I grapple much (sorry to burst your bubble) I train in Shuri Ryu Karate Kobuto. My "game" such as it is, is almost all striking. I have had some instruction in Judo, enough to recognize the sweeps but not enough to perform them with any measure of skill. I wouldn't know if BJJ is any good except what I have seen in the clips of Asia, so saying I advocate BJJ is just plain ignorance.

Bullshit. They probably tried to tell you that there were times when they did and times when they didn't. But no, Japanese Jiujitsu is for the street!!

Your right, because striking, controling, throwing, tripping, knife defense, and chokes will never be ecountered on the the street. Only grappleing.
Thank you for showing me the way.

Right dude. And BJJ schools only train in grappling. You're a fucking idiot. Why don't you just shut the hell up?
Oh and Shar, by "validated" he means "admitting I was wrong without actually apolgizing for it".
But what do I know? I ONLY advocate grappling, and more specifically BJJ.
Isn't anyone out there going to tell this fucker that he's wrong?

I've heard bjj guys say they do sport work, because they don't give a **** and don't care to get in an argument and piss a poor sap off. I've also had a kungfu/sambo/mma guy use wristlocks on me while grappling, had strictly mma guys try them on me while defending an arm bar and had bjj guys throw them in while working me. They do work in the same manner as other joint manipulations, they simply work a hell of a lot better depending on the amount of control you have over the whole limb and body. But they can work unassisted in that manner, if you're skilled fast and lucky.
All in all shadow of raven wolf is a tool though.

Bounced at what? A juice bar? Been in some really vicious pillow fights?

Djimbe gave it his all, and doesn't look like he is complaining. So he did just that.
They both seem to come down with illnesses quite a bit.
However I do think Djimbe would kick ass if he went to a serious school.

Do they? You tell me. The guys I trained with were pure ground fighters. Their goal was to shoot, bring you down, and beat you on the ground. Be it choke or sub.
