And you know, the ARA website didn't actually say it loved everybody, it said it wanted to establish a classless society. That isn't particularly hypocrtical, unless one were to claim white supremecist vs equalitarian is a class distinction made by the ARA.

Why not just trim the thread, move it to Sociocide, and have it out there? Taking things private gives you ample opportunity to creatively edit discussion for your blog.

Regular Joe pointed out that one of this ARA groups foundering members was himself belonging to a hardcore racist group. He didn't appear to try and justify anything. Just pointed out the irony.

Marcell's group has roots (and I get the feeling more than they are letting on) in a racist organization. They use the same harassment tactics as the people they are condeming and they appear to use "you're gay LOLZ" to add weight to their argument. I really got a kick out of their supporting the illegal native american blockade. Just looks like another group looing for some publicity and something to do to me.

I suppose an important destinction that could be made between, say, the Black Panthers, and, say, Scruedriver, is that the Black Panthers reprisented an oppressed minority and were after equality. Scruedriver wants total superiority.


The Black Panthers ultimately condemned black nationalism as "black racism". They became more focused on socialism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism) without racial exclusivity. They instituted a variety of community programs to alleviate poverty (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poverty) and improve health among communities deemed most needful of aid. While the party retained its all-black membership, it recognized that different minority communities (those it deemed oppressed by the American government) needed to organize around their own set of issues and encouraged alliances with such organizations.

So, yeah. Wouldn't let non-blacks in, but accepted that other groups were oppressed too. One of those "not rascist but" things I guess.

In the end you could very easily dismiss both as rascist because of the racial grounds of membership, and you'd be right. The fact that the Black Panthers is a socialist group and that Antifascism has always been assosciated with leftist politics should be an obvious reason as to why the ARA would take interest in them.
