UPDATE:
So far we are still out of power at Meng's Martial Arts. Presuming the power comes back on before the weekend we are still very much open to hosting the throwdown Sat 9/20 starting at 1pm.
However, given the extreme circumstances alot of folks are experiencing this week we can pick another date no problem. What is everyones opinion?

I have power, it just came on today tuesday, september 16. 2008
however, what I am skeptical about, is gas.
I filled up my tank and that's it.
coming from san antonio on a full tank and messing around katy back to where I live I think it's safe to say I am around a half a tank of gas, added to the fact that my gas meter just broke and I dont know how much I have.
I alo do have water, but like I said gas is the problem. If they had gas stations open where I am and I'd fill up the tank I'd definetely go on the 20th, but of course I have to find out where the place is in the first place and everyone has to get their power water and gas together before we decide on the current date or an alternate.
Maybe we can have 2 throwdowns or do the same thing in the next 3 months?

Nah man I can't do it this week. I still don't have power, I got running water, and a full tank of gas but right now the priority is right here in my area. Got word one of my friends is really sick and I haven't gotten an opportunity to see him thanks to being at work. Right now this is definitely not in the cards right now. Later on, I dunno a month for now? I'm game but right now no can do.

one month is a lot to wait for me, maybe we could wait for one or two weeks recovery to gather all of our members?
or we could go ahead and start the throwdown anyway and have a second one right a few weeks/ couple of months after.

Power came back on early afternoon yesterday, we resumed classes immediately.
We are totally committed to hosting the throwdown as planned this Sat 9/20 starting @ 1pm. So if your ready and able to mix it up this weekend please sign off so I can get an idea how many bullies to expect.
For those of you who can not attend, still dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Ike, my prayers and thoughts are with you and your families. Please take care.

Daniel gave me a black eye in the first 10 seconds of the first mma sparring round I did with him. Tharuz caught it a lot worse than I did, including multiple donkey punches.

Whaaat? I must be tougher than I think I am beacause the only punch that fazed me was one I got in the nose, the rest were shots I took to find an opening.
If he wouldn't have gone for the back of the head I wouldn't have stopped, I just stopped the donkey punches beacause I knew they were illegal in MMA and I knew something was wrong with the picture.
