So... well it started out good heh.
I'm in the black trunks with ankle sleeves (the big pale not skinny one ;p).
at 1:01 is when I _should_ have launched a flurry after that kick, at 1:20 is when I needed to work on my escapes a bit more (although I did recover half from side, I needed to let go of the leg and recover full-guard, funny how all the plans go out the window when you're being punched... heh).
Anyhoo, it was a blast and I'll be back in there in a month or so ;)

Ps. I did get up right after that, the doc wanted to look at my pupils and asked if I knew where I was. I think I responded something like 'Um, yeah, middle of the cage after just getting punched in the skull a lot?' heh. 14 days off, but I'd like to thank Crazy Monkey Boxing for my face being intact

Walked in at 231 (205-265 is Oregon's Amateur heavyweight).
Heh, man that was fun stuff ;).

KNEEEEBAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
anyway, good showing, man. Always good to see bullies step in the cage.
You didn't do bad, for your first fight, what was the word on the other guy (experience wise)

Both 0-0, but yeah he didn't act anything like I thought he would. I figured he'd shoot in and go agro, but he must have some kind of background.
More time on the mat, I'll be back in a month or so to compete ;).

It looked to me you were beating him in the striking game, i'd maybe work some TD defense, if i were you.

Totally man, I've been working on that for months but plans meet battle, plans go away heh.
I needed to instantly pummel for the underhook, but I went for the turn first heh. Moar practice!!! Awesome time though, although they were laughing that I was smiling the entire fight heh.

Not bad for a first fight, really. Props to you for getting in the ring in the first place.

Thanks Wolf, had a blast out there (just wish the wife would have continued like 2 more seconds so it showed me popping up and smiling, shaking the other guy's hand heh).

Find a place that trains just wrestling if you have the time/money, it will help immensely with the takedown & defense. Keep it up brobra.

I think a lot of people need to thank Crazy Monkey Boxing. I've only used it when sparring in class and it's helped me keep my face intact even in training. You can instantly see how it could very well save you from a knockout on "teh st34t" where it is probably best to stay awake.
I also wish more fighters would use it. Right now, it's kind of like Judo where you see only a few people do it and even fewer than that do it well in MMA.

Karo! I love Karo's fights, win or lose just because of his awesome throws. Reminds me of getting thrown by that badass Judo BB at Gracie Barra in Bellingham, not Shin, but the other dude. Shin is good too.

Totally man, I have 3 guys (well 2 now, one's moving to NC) that are beasts in wrestling (greco & collegiate between the two), but just need more mat time with them both.
I think my big thing was not pummeling FIRST, but going for the turn, live and learn heh. But yeah, wrestling, moooooar wrestling! Love the stuff.

CM is great stuff, now just more practice with it. I am completely sold though, I could have come out of there looking like the elephant man, instead I had a shiner with very little swelling.
