WTF is it with people lately?
Have they all gotten fucking dumber?
This now makes the last two ufcs and a TUF episode that were spoiled in thread titles.
NEWS FLASH ASSHOLES: Some of us don't get to watch the fights LIVE!!!
Isn't this a bannable offense?
If it's not it sure as hell should be.

I second this motion for making spoiling fights a bannable offense. Normally I just buy the PPV, but this was too shitty a card and I live on the west coast anyway, so I won't be watching it live even if I do buy it.

I always avoid all forums until I get to see the fights. I don't see why I should be reading a live MMA forum on MMA news and then I bitch when something is spoiled because I didn't watch it yet. I don't go writing angry letters after watching CNN because they announced election results.

I propose new rule. Bitching about spoilers in an MMA fight discussion forum should be a bannable offense.
Dude, its the god damned THREAD TITLES.
If it's inside the thread its fair game, but the thread title? Come on man!

So no one would mind if I got live results from Sherdog and created a thread for each fight annoucing the winner?

If I missed the event I wouldn't see it as I avoid all contact with forums until I do.

You could avoid the thread entirely, unless you accidentally read it. But yeah, I don't see any harm in a title that reads "Fedor Emelianenko vs Randy Couture (results inside)," though I imagine that that particular title would be like giving someone the holy grail and expecting them not to drink from it.
In the end, freedom of speech is just that, and you now what might be in this forum if you jump into it.

That's not what we're talking about. We're talking about threads that have titles like 'Wow, Couture really kicked Fedor's ass!'

What about TUF were people are annoucing results in the title before it's even on TV in my timezone. Should I be avoiding TV the every wednesday?

I believe that when you come to a forum, you get what's supposed to be in it.
Then again, I recently had a post warning for posting nothing more than a comical picture in a forum (http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=71169), in which I was clearly breaking some sort of rule or policy.
So I guess it could be a little more complex. Overall, I wouldn't personally take offense to if a thread that I started was deleted by a moderater due to it having a spoiler title. So, yes, I do think that spoilers should be a bannable offense, given a certain degree of warning.

Personally, I agree that having spoilers in the title should get you at least a warning. In the actual threads, you can post spoilers but you shouldn't have them in the titles.

Boo Hoo....
So what if you dont get to watch them live? How is that everyone elses problem?
Stay away from the forums until you watch it. What if someone at work inadvertently mentioned the outcome before you got to watch it? Would you then petition your boss to have them fired?
Probably.

Jesus Christ how hard is it, all you have to do is not place spoilers in titles, it's about as basic as expecting people on a film forum to not have thread titles like "Oh My God, Bruce Willis was a ghost all along!" The day after the film premièred. Seriously, it's not hard to do.
Plus I'm pretty sure the TOS has something in it about it anyway.
