I felt like I haven't been able to do all my sets. I think I felt tired but I'm not sure. I just didn't feel good even using weight that I've already used before.
Also, to save myself a new topic, does anyone reading this think I can make deadlifts my primary lowerbody exercise instead of squats (just temporarily until I build some muscle in my legs). I feel more comfortable with deadlifts.
Deadlifts are going to be tougher for your body to recover from. Increase your comfort level with squats. If nothing else, make one day squat and one day deadlift, but 3 days of deadlifting a week would be pretty nuts.
Oh man, you guys suck. I think you're not working out enough! I can't stop excerising. I'll go out camping in the woods with my family for the weekend, and I can't help myself- I'll just go and lif boulders and ****.
On a serious note: It's gotta be the diet. Listen I'm 22 too, but that doesn't mean you gotta eat garbage. Martens right, but I would say just watch the food you do eat, don't eat fast food or foods that don't hold benefit for you, like snacks, pizza or whatever and eat a lot of proteins, fruits, and vegetables. The water is probably a big issue too. I used to not drink a lot of water.
I do alot of weights as well, and on my workout days I always have a couple of bowls of frosted flakes(no fat) or this godamn healthy bran cereal my girlfriend gets (that actually delicious and tastes like pancakes) to get my carbs in. The non-fatty carbs like cereal or pasta give you a lot of energy and build muscle.
Carbs don't build muscle. Protein does. However, having enough calories is essential to this process.
Diet can be a factor, but even the best of diet won't save you from absurd training volume.

QFT. The hardest part is knowing when to stop and get some rest.
OK, I'll just start trying to cram more food in. I'll see if that helps.
Maybe I'll keep my squats at the same, low weight for a few days to get the movement down and stuff.

Oh, you know what else? I dunno about the rest of you, but a couple of months back I started taking vitamins regularly and I find that helps alot. Multi vitamins are good too, but now I'm taking these super vitamins, 5 at night and 5 in the morning,(b-12 and all kinds of stuff) and I find my energy level is higher than ever.

**** you!
(Checks off another week on my lower back rehab)
Seriously, read my log for classic overtraining example. I am now six weeks into my lower back injury from deadlifting and it looks like at least 2 or 3 more to go. I was doing 8-10 heavy sets of up to 4 compound lifts per workout. I made great gains for about 3 weeks and then it all went to **** and I was too stupid to notice. I have made more gains doing less than half that volume in the 6 weeks since then.
Listen to your body.
