2: If we should not prosecute con people, Then why should we prosecute thieves? Why should we prosecute rapists? why should we prosecute anyone who breaks societies laws? After all by your logic its clearly the victims fault. They should have had stronger doors, bars on the windows, laid mines in the hallway, not been born with a genetic condition that made them small, not been so stupid to own anything in the first place. Placing the blame on the victims is morally reprehensible, and while going through an experience like this no doubt provides a learning experience, letting the perpertrators get away with it because of the percieved stupidity of the victim is tantamount to being an accessory.
