LOL at gay chauffeur. I think it was supposed to be some kind of military outfit. Note his cape that he'd throw away before fighting.

I wish to remind you that the Fatal Fury series are FAR ahead MMA-wise as they've had several characters with MMA moves, most notably Blue Mary who'd use a number of sambo leglocks and Ralph whose trademark move was a huge Dl-takedown to mounted punches.

Ralph isn't in Fatal Fury, he is in King of Fighters.

Ralph is from Ikari Warriors, and then he got put in the King of Fighters megacast along with all the other SNK people.

And Blue Mary's been leglocking people back when Alpha 1 was out. The Japanese love their leglocks.

Virtua Fighter has a lot of that **** too. In the fourth one they had a Judo guy (complete with cool throws from the clinch and whatnot), a Vale Tudo chick, a Pankration guy, and some wrestler type I don't really remember.

If they're keeping the old characters, they'd better fix the names back to the original ones. Anyone who's offended by the boxer being called M. Bison should seriously be shot.

So far, Abel has inherited 2 of 3S Sean's moves (takedown & spinning heel kick). If anybody has interest in playing and winning with this guy, they better hope that's all he inherits from Sean.

Ryu is the axis of the series. All characters are compared to him because he's the superman do good asshole. Hopefully the game wont suck, they took out a lot of stuff I think they should have left in there. Street Fighter EX was their last attempt at 3d and I still have nightmares

So Abel is from France. A little Jerome LeBanner influence?

Hadoken, Ooohhh ugay, i mean Ugeh!

You should make more gay jokes. It's fresh and edgy.

They're not fresh, but anyone who saw Street Fighter II V had to have had a few of them lingering in the back of their minds.

Wasn't the fans Capcom USA was afraid of when they decided for the Mike Bison and other villains name swap.

He was hoping to join the village people, especially with that signature move called the dick drill.

I am interested to see how this develops, but I just can't get excited about actually playing it. In the time since Street Fighter 3, my taste in fighting has been completely taken over by Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution. If someone makes a truly excellent MMA game, then I suppose I could have two loves.

The Pankration guy was/is Jeffrey, a Rastafarian fisherman from Jamaica that just happens to look like the Greek wrestler painted on ancient pottery, who has been in the series from the first game. The Judo guy is only in the "Evolution" revision of the game, and he's actually the slowest-moving member of the cast. Also exclusive to "Evolution" is a Muay Thai fighter, which resulted in the Vale Tudo chick's Muay Thai mode being changed to a slightly more MMAish "offensive stance." Finally, the wrestler guy is a pro wrestler who has also been in the series from the first game (and who is A LOT harder to use effectively than King from Tekken).

All that said, my 2D fighting loyalty is with SNK; they've always been more for the hardcore, really technical **** like true Karate kata-like blocking combos and Muay Thai slipping have been in their games since the mid 90s.
