Sunday Nov. 10, 2003

At approximately 0:45 into the first round Angry-Monkey struck Piz Doff with the point of his elbow on Piz Doff's hand just above the wrist. As Piz Doff has previously injured and reinjured this hand before, he was caused a small amount of pain and could not continue due to concern to possible long term injury.

In disqualification occured when Angry-Monkey was in Piz Doff's guard and was going spastic in an attempt to gain positional control. Piz Doff didn't seem to bring his best game as it seems multiple accumulated injuries forced him to play a more defensive game.

Piz Doff has able to get full mount but could not hold it due to Angry-Monkey's superior strength. A rematch is scheduled for late December.

Angry-Monkey's previously injured ankle didn't seem to play a part in the session.

Piz Doff ironically has had a physoptherapy session scheduled for Monday afternoon.....for his wrists.

On a side note Pizdoff is an idiot for not wearing a wrist brace.

Grappling with a wrist brace......hmmmmm.
Maybe I'll wear one for sympathy points.

On a side not Angry-Monkey had an ankle brace. But Piz Doff's reinjury wasn't that recent.

Aw, come on Piz. I sparred him for two hours on Saturday and you couldn't beat him well-rested? I also re-injured a thumb that's hanging on by a thread. It hurt to make a fist but I ended up alright.

Results for those who care:

Striking/Standup only:
-Shuma def. Monkey (Eye Kick)

Grappling only:
-Monkey def. Shuma (Submission - Shuma gives up his back like a moron and gets subbed in < 30 sec.)
-Monkey def. Shuma (Submission - "Scarf choke" / getting choked with my own arms)
-Monkey def. Shuma (Submission - Fatigue)

It didn't help that I'd missed four straight Judo classes, but I still lost fair and square. I did come this >< close on a few armbars though. Angry-Monkey also tried to get revenge for my body slam in a previous match but failed because my ribcage has its own riced-out suspension system.

I was sparring with Angry-Monkey and some Kyokushin dolts at U of T's Martial Arts Alliance club on Saturday.
Piz would have sparred Angry-Monkey at Danforth Wing Chun (Albroz TKD school) on Sunday.

Will you youngsters quit assuming us older guys are well rested?

If you're going to refer to yourself in third-person, at least narrate like DuffMan for comedy value.

This thread is out of order!

Shuma, I dont think the eye kick really counted as a KO, well it did end the match (because my eye was stinging) I dont really think it counts as a win.... I would call it NC if anything. You can have that win to feel better :p

Oh yeh, I have a new nickname, From now on I am to be known as Seiji "The Wrist Murderer".
The full mount was nicely done, we kind've just fell into it, I was shocked.

And since we're all making excuses right now, I had just rolled with Brian directly before, and Pizdoff you saw how big he was, he's an animal!!

About the kyokushin guys, I didn't think they were goofs at all.
Well the one I fought was poop.
But the guy you fought was great for only 6 months of training. He was on the attacking side the whole time. You should have sunk in some of the hits you got. He just kept coming because nothing you did convinced him to do otherwise.

Ok, actually he hit me on the OTHER none fractured hand
Maybe a reversible wrist brace is a good idea for me.....

Actually I got side mount, then slipped the knee over, it was technique and my own style.

Brian looks like great fun to practice technique on. I surprised he didn't pick you up and throw you in to the wall or something. At least I can outstrike him......yeah right.

Angry-Monkey = "Let's call it no contest!"

Yeah, yeah, alright. No Contest. As for the Kyokushin guy, I've fought him once now so I don't need to go light, and now that I think about it that reservation should have been dropped after he tried a CroCop special a minute into the match.

...yeah, really, that whole policy is bullshit. From now on, I hammer the living **** out of people from the opening hajime.
