So today I finally got my first chance to spar live at the end of class and wow did I ever get a complete ass kicking. I learned first hand exactly what everyone means when they say that "you will be tapping... A LOT." I got to go up against a white belt who had over a years worth of training and he demonstrated every bit of it. In 4 minutes he managed to tap me a few guilottines, americans, armbars and even countered my kimuras with a flip and then taking side mount into... another americana. To top it off, I got to roll with the instructor who basically tried to reenact the spar and showed me what I had done wrong, what I should've done and then choked me out one last time just for good measure and to make sure the point came across... it did :). It was pretty devestating but awsome. Definetly learned a lot from that and it just made me even more anxious for the next class and spar. Hopefully, Ill improve over time.

Now tommorow, I get to look forward to my first MT class... :icon_thum

This forum is not about your first class.
