One of the funny things I've noticed about people who believe in these "reptoids" is that they assume all of them are sinister/evil/naughty. In the "Reptile Girl" video that the OP posted, it pauses at one point and makes note of the girl's supposedly sinister facial expression as evidence of her reptoid-ness. Why all reptoids gotta be sinister? Why it gotta be like dat? I'll bet there are plenty of reptile-people who are very kind and cordial and don't tear through human flesh with their monstrous fangs.

On another note, I'm gonna re-watch Dio's "The Last in Line" music video to find evidence of Ronnie James Dio's reptilian nature. The Ronnie James Dio from Elf and Rainbow and Black Sabbath is NOT the same one that exists today!

I know that the Egyptians believed something similar to what you're talking about. I've never seen a big deal made out of the eyes in Sumerian text that I can recall; I may have forgotten.

It's likely a gem or glaze of some sort...I can look into it. A cobalt blue glaze perhaps.....saphire? I dunno..but I'll dig.
They are depicting (if memory serves) people in sumerian society...stature/closeness to divinity is shown by big ass eyes. I saw no reference in my brief studies of that time to lizard gods, or reptiles in general. Cats in egypt, winged gods in assyria, manlike in greece/rome, humanoid in Viking lore, etc etc.....

Animalistic religeons aren't new, but not exclusive to the ancient world either, all sortys of belief sets can be found...chalk one up for teh unknown.
