Fuzzy Logic on Amazon (read the reviews) (http://www.amazon.com/Fuzzy-Thinking-New-Science-Logic/dp/078688021X)

I may check it out at the school library but my hopes aren't high after reading those rather in-depth and scathing reviews...

If you want scathing reviews check out Graham Priest while you are at it, he has really done some great stuff with dialetheism. You could feed TKD or damnitbobbyninja some quotes as he has some interesting ways to debunk the god mythos.

I need nothing spoon fed.

PETE PLZ COME BACK AND BRING YOUR SPOON!!!!!!

Typing LoGicalz FallisIe at every opportunity, does not a winning argument make.

Having a fallacy filled argument is the way to go then? Address your fallacies, or you may restate your assertion in a way that is understood, as I have done, then we can go on our way.

Once again captain reading comprehension, I have not said there is evidence of gods existence. Go back and reread the posts, what I did say is that there were some good logical models for the support of some religious thought, and my original assertion to TBK was religion does not cause evil.

Of course. Evil Is SUBJECTIVE. However religion gives people REASONS (Real or not) to act in its name. People dont activly set out to do evil, However someone somewhere may interpret these actions in the name of god as such.

FOR EXAMPLE: Jesus's Belief that he was the Son of God Resulted in him being killed.

Yes its true that if he did not believe he was the son of God he may have been killed in other ways. (mugging, Drive by, bad Cholestarol buildup etc) And its possible his beliefs helped him live as long as he did (By amassing a group of rabbid supporters to help and protect him) But however His Religious Beliefs in the end, and the religious beliefs of his opponents, (who believed that claiming to be the son of a diety was bad and evil) Resulted in him being nailed to two lengths of wood. (or so the story goes)

Were these acts evil? YOU decide (or your society around you decides for you) Were they a result of his religious beliefs? YES. So therefore if you believe that hammering a guy to wood is evil then EVIL WAS COMMITED IN THE NAME OF RELIGION.

Actually Jesus didn't exist so none of that stuff really happened.

You mean I don't have love my neighbour or turn the other cheek anymore?

Virus- I'm sure you've mentioned your evidence for that assetion before, i was wondering of you could point me at it. I'm curious because, in all the critical studying i've done of the bible, The teachers i've studied with never really disputed the existence of an individual named jesus.

There are, apparently, Roman records to support the notion he was an actual person.

~Wondering on your thoughts on the matter....
