I can think of enough people who made something of themselves despite having a terrible upbringing to disagree with you. I know it isn't the norm, but shitty parental involvement is still not a good enough reason to write a kid off as a hopeless failure without even giving them a chance to shine.

Alot of you have said that parents should purchase school supplies for their children I disagree. Poor and or stupid parents will refuse to do so. I don't think a student in primary or secondary school should have their education neglected because of their parents.

I think schools not the teachers should give students supplies and books without all those stupid cookie drives. There was a special on I think NBC or ABC about the leave no child behind act. It's on youtube and I'll try to find it tomorrow if no one else does.
