Unfortunately, I do not know of any active san da teams in that area. OTOH, one of the best fight gyms in the country is in Portland. Have you considered Team Quest (http://www.tqfc.com/)? They have a solid kickboxing program in addition to their complete MMA curriculum...

I,m not looking to train mma. I just wan't to fullfill a stoopid childhood fantasy and learn kung fu, but after training at a couple of good mma gyms I dont see myself doing something rediculas (monkey fu, ect.) so I think sanda would be best for me. Or maybe some kung fu heavy into sparring. I actully would'nt mind learning forms but sparring has to be the focus.

Doesn't Reese train at Team Quest? I recall him saying he lives like 5 minutes from there.

Sadly, I think you're out of luck for competitive san da/san shou. If you want to go play with some CMA people to get a sense of the flavor of the stuff, there is a guy who trains at Laurelhurst Park who does some nice CMA throwing in a bagua context:

... you could stop round and see if he can put you in touch with someone more punchy, or -- if you like throws -- you could train with him a bit.
Good luck, man.

Oregon Martial Art in Tigard, OR teaches good Muay Thai and BJJ. JKD is also taught in very small moderation.

NW Fighting in Portland teaches Kung Fu, but it's mostly that internal art "chi" bullshit.

Alot of schools dont seem to advertise there san da very well. They either just call it kickboxing or hardly mention it like some dirty little secret. But if there are any good kung fu school, they really should also be doing san da.

The school in Portland doesn't exist any more, as Al Dacascos moved back to Hawaii. However, many of his black belts have small schools in the area still (and sorry for thread rez, but I figured this should be mentioned).
