Just wondering who you guys think gets a title shot now in each division?
206 +
Randy vs. Nogueira or maybe Barnett
205
Quinton vs. winner of a wandy vs houston fight maybe
185
Silva vs Franklin
170
Hughes vs Serra than maybe the winner fights the winner of a GSP vs. Fitch fight
155
If the title is vacated than maybe stevenson vs. penn, id like to see melendez here if he'll sign with ufc.

Isn't Dan Henderson technically still the 183-pound Pride champion? Although he lost the 205-pound unification bout with Rampage, I was under the impression that he ONLY lost the 205-pound belt. If this is the case, does this mean that we might see a Pride Welterweight/UFC Middleweight championship unification bout in the near future?

Oh, and back on topic... I think a Randy/Nogueira fight would be the bee's knees. Of course I would root for Captain America, because I'm an AMERICAN, dammit!

So much competition in the UFC nowadays with all these Pride guys pouring in...
id still like to see melendez, paulo fihlo, gomi, and fedor come, than it be amazing.

So many LHWs it's getting ridiculous.
but @ kingmiracleman: that would make sense. sucks for Henderson if he loses them both.
heavyweight: randy's not fighting till next year, so there's some time. we'll never see fedor or barnett. vera vs sylvia is coming up. i'd like to see nog vs kongo. if vera and nog win, winners fight for top contender. if kongo wins, i'm not sure. if sylvia wins, then randy vs cecil peoples.
light heavy: quinton looks ready, but nobody else is. i truly fear he will fight the winner of tito vs rashad 2. i'd like to see houston alexander vs lyoto, jardine vs wanderlei, forrest vs chuck, shogun vs... i don't know. bonnar. between those four fights, we can find a top contender. we need sokoudjou.
middleweight: other than silva and franklin (edit: and henderson if he wants to be), i'm not sure the ufc has any plain old contenders at 185, much less a top contender. i could see herman vs leben, so the winner can be fed to the lions (we can dream), followed by... cote vs quarry? yushin okami vs the rumored troubled return of evan tanner? still on the books jeremy horn vs still on the books royce? i'm reaching. i'm really reaching.
welterweight: matt vs matt, winner vs gsp, winner vs karo/first matt loser, winner vs fitch/second loser, winner vs shields/third loser... by which point maybe nick diaz will be back in the ufc, or marcus davis will be ready. this division is good.
lightweight: bj vs stevenson, winner vs florian, winner vs fisher. tyson griffin is not allowed near a title fight, he's bugged in this release and can't lose. roger, if he can win a couple actual fights (probably won't get those till they do a ufc in mexico).
those are my thoughts at the moment. i may not agree with them tomorrow.

HW - winner of Silvia / Vera
LHW - lots of guys with roughly equal claims
MW - Henderson for unified title
WW - Hughes then GSP (if he wins his next fight)
LW - Penn vs. Stevenson
As far as LHW goes, this could work:
- Jackson / Alexander
- Griffin / Machida
- Rua / Jardine
- Liddell / Silva
- Evans / Ortiz

jackson vs. Rutten for most entertaining
LHW, Jardine could possibly have the title shot, though his loss to Alexander weighs heavily, Jardine has rebuilt himself well.
Alexander maybe for a title shot, though I am not sure he is remotely ready for Jackson.
I would still like to see Liddell vs Wand, even though it doesnt matter as much anymore.
Griffin vs Machida, is a fight I would like to see.
Bas Rutten.. In every class.
Except if Chuck Norris appears. Everyone knows other dudes are holding their belts only because Chuck allows them to.
(yeah yeah, Chuck jokes are old, I know)

Randy vs. Nogueira or maybe Barnett
Either would be a good fight.
205
Quinton vs. winner of a wandy vs houston fight maybe
Houston is probably not expirenced enough for a silva fight. Griffin vs Silva would be better
185
Silva vs Franklin
Dan Henderson should fight the winner
170
Hughes vs Serra than maybe the winner fights the winner of a GSP vs. Fitch fight
GSP is already fighting the winner.
155

Hopefully Sherk will beat the steriod rap and lose to penn.

Rashad is the most deserving of a shot at LHW since no one has beat him yet.
heavyweight: Vera, after he makes Sylvia cry. Fedor eventually, but I don't think he should get a title shot right off the bat. I also want Nog somewhere in the mix.
light heavy: Quinton vs. Ida Know. Forrest? Jardine? (haha, two TUF guys approaching a title shot) Plus I want Wandy fighting for the title in the near future.
middleweight: Silva and Franklin, that's all I really got there.
welterweight: The two Matts, then winner vs. GSP. Fitch should be not far behind in my opinion. Kos can kiss my ass.
lightweight: Penn and Daddy. I want Florian in there too, in fact I wouldn't mind a Penn/Daddy vs. Florian as a fight.

I heard that Randy wants to fight Wand. Could "Axe Murderer" be headed up to heavy weight? I believe he was over 205 when he fought Fujita and Cro Cop.

Randy wanting to fight Vanderlei would be rather awkward given that Vanderlei has been training at xtreme couture frequently over the last couple of months.
Where the hell do you get your info?
