As an additional treat for wrestlers, here's Dan Gable vs. Larry Owings at the 1970 NCAA Finals:

From www.kos-check.com (http://www.kos-check.com) "A “Division I wrestling standout”? Huh? Don’t you mean a four-time All-American and 2001 undefeated NCAA champion?
I hear that everytime this guy fights. Oh he's undefeated in wrestling. Obviously a little discrepancy here.

Don't be a douchebag and check out the stats before you say anything.
He was a four time All American and he did go undefeated his Junior year.
This video is of the finals during his sophomore year. If you have half a brain, then you should understand that since those are the finals and he lost, he took second.
For the record, he 4th his freshman year, 2nd his sophomore year, 1st his junior year, and 3rd his senior year.
How many other wrestlers do you know that were in the top 4 every single year of college in the NCAAs?

A perfect record is something that happens in ***** sports like pro boxing, where you have a trainer who pairs you up with other fighters, that he thinks 'you can take'.
In wrestling, I can't think of anyone ever having a 'perfect' record.
Not even the greats like Dan Gable (182-1 in folkstyle) or Alexander Karelin.
James Guzzio from maryland had a perfect 35-0 season in 1997.
Cael Sanderson had a perfect 4-year career at Iowa with a 159-0 record.

OMG! LOLOLOLOL LOOK AT MEH I CAN COPY & PASTE STATS OUT OF WIKIPEDIA!@!#$!13132! LOLOLOL!!!12321!1!1!1!1!1111!!!!!!1!1!
Dan Gable went undefeated in folkstyle till his last match for Iowa State, when he lost to Larry Owings in the NCAA Division I Finals.
You can go 'undefeated' in a certain style for a period of time, but it is impossible to come out with an undefeated record across the board.
I bet that even Guzzio and Sanderson (who are truly great wrestlers, BTW), lost while they were in college, but it didn't 'count' into their collegiate records. Why? Because most wrestlers compete in freestyle on the side. Dan Gable, who went undefeated in Folkstyle till his last year at college lost several times in freestyle competitions.
It's just how it is.
It's impossible to go undefeated in wrestling. There's always going to be that one moment where you lose concentration, that one moment where you just mentally slip, and there's going to be an opponent to take care of that.

I don't care about Koscheck, but wow, you can actually see Gable's soul implode as time runs out.
That sucks.
Krazy kuju, you are just bitter. That was not copied. It was not from wikipedia. Grow up, do some research before you write, and quit flaming. Wow, what a welcome to the boards.
I'm not a koscheck fan, but I hope he beats the hell out of St. Pierre.

What research?
I stated all my points concisely and merely stated that the points you made were true, but that you construed them in a misleading fashion.
Having an undefeated record is possible for a limited amount of time to wrestlers with great talent and the guts for hard work. But even the wrestlers you mentioned lost later on. As I stated before, they most likely lost in their "undefeated winning streaks," as these "winning streaks" were based on Collegiate Wrestling solely, and not on any Freestyle Wrestling participation.
So:
Don't make up things to discredit others such as, "do your research" without saying what they have to research, why, and what points they got wrong.
Don't sound like a little bitch, by saying "wow, what a welcome to the boards," cause that proves you're 't3h gh3y'. This is Bullshido, not AshidaKim.com.
Don't post **** on forums without backing up what you're saying and don't post things that are construed to mislead and distort the facts.
BTW, I like GSP, but I also like Kos. Unfortunately, I think GSP has more skill, unless what Kos is saying about having "a totally new game" is true.

Unless Kos has something hidden under his sleeves, I don't see him winning over GSP. Not to take anything away from Kos, but GSP has proved himself to be a much more experienced striker and grappler.
It should be an interesting fight regardless of the outcome.

BUT THERE R TEH NO SLEEVES IN MMA! OMG NO!!!
LOL, yeah, GSP is more well-rounded in both striking and submissions, and he wrestles with the national Canadian wrestling team so his wrestling is probably pretty good also.
In general, from what I can tell so far from Kos's fights is that Kos is worse in everything besides wrestling.
We'll see if Kos's new coach has got him doing a new game (which is at best extremely unlikely) and if Kos has made any measurable steps towards improving either his striking or grappling (or both).
It could be interesting to see a Liddell-style or Rampage-style Kos who uses his takedown defense from wrestling for a good striking base. But anything like that is EXTREMELY unlikely. Argh.
KK, you are a moron.
This is my third and last post on this site thanks to you. You really know how to show someone respect. And I don't know who "t3h" is, but it is not me. I guess I will check out that other site. Maybe their members are not blatently rude.

That's what happens when you post misleading information and then proceed to claim that I didn't do my research.

He claims his new coach changed his game completely.
