The Lansky sharpening system (http://www.sharpeningsupplies.com/Lansky-C57.aspx) is teh ghey, even though it looks good in theory.

I was scrambling all over the house to find other knives to make stupid sharp as well...and I achieved that.

Spyders come from the factory dumb sharp as it is, so I couldn't play with the new one.

I just got a Cold Steel 5 inch Voyager with a serrated blade ($40, because they're making the next batch with a different type of steel). It is also crazy sharp.

They're just going to keep using cheaper and cheaper steel until people give up on them, aren't they? Do you happen to know off the top of your head of what yours is made?
